random shots from eve's first week

it's been a week since eve was born, and i haven't posted any more pictures. i'm still working on rebuilding the album template that was lost when my hard drive died a few weeks ago, so for the interim, i'll just have to post the pics. anyway, here are a few more shots of the past week.

(p.s. olivia's slowly warming to the idea of being a big sister)

all about eve

well, folks... the wait is over. geneva grace arrived at 10:40am this morning weighing in at 7lbs 9oz and around 19 inches. eve already showed how much she loves her mother by taking it easy on her. heather's water broke around 12:15am and the contractions started in earnest a couple hours later. she got her epidural about an hour or so after getting to the hospital, and it was pretty much smooth sailing after that. to top it off, heather only had to push for about 5 minutes. she's an amazing woman.

mommy and baby are resting right now, and daddy's going to take olivia to see her little sister in a few hours. in the meantime, enjoy these shots... i know i have been.

comments, please

hi. no pictures this post... just a little note to cajole some comments out of you. i've had this blog going for about 2 months now, and the posts have garnered a total of 2 comments.

this is the point where a single tear rolls down my right cheek as the impact of the quiet rejection hits me.

okay, now that i've put out that wave of guilt, let's get serious. if you enjoy the pictures (or text) and if you have a couple of extra minutes or if you just want to taunt or berate me, please leave a comment. a word or two or three or #fill in your own number#. there's no obligation, of course, but i'd like to know who's stopping by. plus, i'm an insecure person at my core, and it will do wonders to my ego.

for those newbies out there, leaving comments is easy. just click the "comments" link at the bottom of each post. on the subsequent page, just type in your comments, click either "anonymous" or "other", and (finally) click "Login and Publish". yes, IT'S THAT EASY!!! now you know. and, as the soldiers of GI Joe preach, knowing is half the battle.

i look forward to reading...

child abuse?

i guess a picture's worth a thousand words.
sorry, olivia... we'll skip the photo booth next time.
